IACS T&E, the dedicated training and education subsidiary for IACS and leading provider of specialised training for pipeline inspectors in the energy sector, is celebrating after being named ‘SME of the Year’ at the Hopwood Hall College Apprenticeship Awards.
Recognised in two categories…
The awards, which took place at the Mercure Manchester Norton Grange Hotel & Spa, recognised the outstanding work being done to create, deliver and promote apprenticeships. IACS T&E’s commitment to training the next generation of pipeline inspectors through its ‘Practitioner in Pipelines for Hydrogen & Utilities’ (PIPHU) apprenticeship secured the top spot in the SME category.
In addition to the win, IACS T&E was highly commended in the ‘Bespoke Collaboration of the Year’ category, recognising its partnership with Hopwood Hall College to create the pioneering PIPHU apprenticeship programme.
“To take home the SME of the Year award is a huge moment for IACS and IACS T&E. It’s a testament to the strategic investment we’ve made in the apprenticeship and the fantastic work of our team, our college partners, and of course, our apprentices.”
James Baker, Director of IACS T&E
Apprentice recognition…
The evening also highlighted the achievements of individuals, with IACS apprentice Steve Brown being highly commended in the Level 3 Apprentice of the Year category – a fantastic personal achievement that reflects his dedication to his development and future career.
James continues:
“The awards ceremony was a real celebration of the power of apprenticeships – not just in equipping people, just like Steve, with the skills to succeed but also to drive growth and change lives.
“We are incredibly proud to be playing our role through the apprenticeship. Once again, a huge well done to all businesses and apprentices.”
