Pipeline Inspectors
At IACS Training and Education (IACS T&E), we are leading the way in creating a new generation of highly skilled, safety conscious pipeline inspectors for the energy sector. With advancements towards becoming more sustainable in all that we do and achieving net zero, this includes working within green energy too.
Our Areas
Independent Inspectors
We are the dedicated training and education arm of Inspection & Consultancy Services Ltd (IACS Ltd). Operating for 25 years, IACS is an independent supplier of inspectors to the pipeline construction industry in the UK and beyond.
Our Industries Evolution and Demand
Our industry is changing, green energy is picking up pace. We need talent with transferable skills, who can handle the move to cleaner energy. Structured projects are creating opportunity and unprecedented demand for our professional inspectors.
Investing in People
Through accredited training and our pioneering apprenticeship, IACS T&E is providing an infrastructure that will upskill existing inspectors, while also attracting new entrants into the market. We are providing the knowledge needed to access opportunities within the green energy sector.
Pioneering Apprenticeship
Our first pioneering apprenticeship - the ‘Practitioner in Pipelines for Hydrogen and Utilities’, which includes the world’s very first Ofqual accredited qualification in hydrogen awareness - launched in September 2023.
Our apprenticeship has already enrolled its first two cohorts of apprentices and this programme, based in the North, is continuing at pace.
Shared Ambition
“The changes within our sector over the next five years will be exponential. To support this, we need the right people, with the right skills in place. Importantly, we need lots of them!”
Ross Hewitt
CEO IACS Ltd.
Our Values
IACS’s reputation resides in investing in its people both now and in the future.
As IACS’s training and education subsidiary, our ambition is to build upon this and embrace its strong values as a proud, independent, family-run business.
The ethos of the company has always been to provide its team with access to the training and support they need, to access opportunities, and to further their careers by equipping them with the skills and certifications demanded by our industry.
IACS T&E is simply a formal extension of this approach.
Leading by example
IACS Ltd and IACS T&E are leading by example. We are putting the time, attention and investment into future-proofing our business and workforce.
It is projected that within the next three years, we will have a team of more than 180 professionally trained inspectors, who have completed our apprenticeship programme, with the provision to work safely with green energy.
