Highly Paid and Highly Skilled
The ‘Practitioner in Pipelines for Hydrogen and Utilities’ Apprenticeship, is derived from the Construction Support Technician apprenticeship standard. It is a 16-month course and on successful completion, each apprentice will be offered a permanent role with IACS Ltd. With a starting salary of £28k, apprentices will receive incremental increases as accreditations are achieved and certifications awarded by TWI.

Groundbreaking Partnership
The ‘Practitioner in Pipelines for Hydrogen and Utilities’ Apprenticeship programme has been designed collaboratively through a strategic partnership between IACS Ltd,Hopwood Hall College and University Centre, TWI and Hydrogen Safe
Pioneering Hydrogen
The programme integrates pipeline inspection with a comprehensive ‘safety module’, which includes the UK’s first Ofqual registered qualifications in hydrogen awareness, delivered by specialist safety training provider, Hydrogen Safe.
Bespoke Course Features
Welding, coating and painting inspection and non-destructive testing are bespoke course features within this apprenticeship. By including extra levels of expertise, job opportunities and prospects will be improved, and new career paths will open up.
Learning and Experience
Our programme has been designed so that you learn and gain experience. The ‘Practitioner in Pipelines for Hydrogen and Utilities’ Apprenticeship is predominantly on-the-job training. Each apprentice will spend 20% of their working hours completing classroom-based learning with Hopwood Hall College.
