IACS Wins Community Engagement at Hydrogen UK Awards

IACS has been recognised for its contribution to hydrogen education and skills development after winning the Community Engagement award at the Hydrogen UK Awards 2026.

The award recognises organisations and initiatives that actively engage and benefit local communities through hydrogen solutions. For IACS, the accolade reflects the company’s commitment and investments in increasing the skills, awareness and understanding of hydrogen.

IACS, through its training and education initiatives including its Pipeline Apprenticeship, has played an important role in developing the skills and knowledge needed to support the energy transition.

In addition, the company continues to help individuals and organisations to work safely and confidently with hydrogen following the recent acquisition of hydrogen training specialist, Hydrogen Safe, in 2025.

James Baker, Operations Manager at IACS Ltd, comments:

“Winning this award is incredibly meaningful, especially considering the calibre of projects, businesses and individuals recognised across the hydrogen sector.

“It demonstrates what can be achieved through collaboration and shared ambition. Our focus has always been on making a genuine difference by helping people develop the skills and knowledge needed for the future of energy.”

The Hydrogen UK Awards 2026 took place on Tuesday 10th March 2026 at the National Conference Centre in Birmingham, celebrating the organisations that are driving innovation, collaboration, and positive impact within the hydrogen industry.

IACS would like to thank its partners and collaborators for their continued support in helping deliver training, education and hydrogen safety initiatives across the sector, including TWI, Hopwood Hall College and Hydrogen Safe.
